Wanting to increase my opportunities, and get a review for this site, I decided to join BlackPeopleMeet.com as well to see what it offers for interracial and black dating.
I’m a big fan of niche sites because you can really narrow down what you’re looking for and know you’ll find it on a site themed for that preference. So when I encountered Black People Meet, it instantly caught my eye as something to try out. But did it work out? Unfortunately, there are a lot of shady practices going on here and I can’t give it my recommendation. Read on for my experience.
BlackPeopleMeet.com Review – Beware Your Personal Data
This looks like a site with a lot of promise once you visit the site. It has a sleek look and great photos that entice you to the possibilities of who you could meet. Plus you can sign up for free.
Once you look behind the curtain, however, you find that this site uses a lot of the shady tactics that we’re seeing on a lot of these sites elsewhere. Take a look at the terms and conditions. You’ll find that your profile information can be repurposed on other sites in their network.
You’ll also read that there are fake profiles created on the site, called test profiles and that you’ll receive communication from these fake profiles. So while it looks like the site is really popular and has a lot of members, the truth is that there are not many (if any) real partners out there for you to interact with and meet.
Another red flag for me, having reviewing these sites for quite a while and knowing the landscape, is the company that is behind this site. It is owned by People Media, Inc. They own a big network of sites just like these and they all use these scammy tactics.
Site Features
While you already get the point about steering clear of this site, I will still provide an overview of what you find as a user there. You can create a profile for free and receive messages, however, you cannot read these messages until you become a paying member. It’s a lot like other sites in that regard.
Once you start messaging, you’ll find that there’s a lot of fake communication and you are going nowhere fast. It’s all a ploy to get you to sign up for a membership to read messages. In my opinion, it’s just not worth it.
There is also the option to have a phone call with other members of the site, but in my experience there just weren’t any real humans to talk to, so this feature is a moot point.
Cancellation
The bright point of this site, if there is one, was that it was easy to cancel my membership and delete my profile. A lot of the sites that are scammy make it tough to do. You can just disable the auto-renewal option and your card won’t be charged anymore. You can also select the option to Remove My Profile. Easy as pie.

In Conclusion
This site is just not that good, I’m sorry to support. There are other sites out there, like BlackFling, that will offer a more realistic opportunity to meet hot black girls. You just won’t find it on BlackPeopleMeet, sad to say.
