Everyone knew that Craigslist was the king of finding yourself a quick and easy hookup. With the loss of their personals sections, some sites have tried to fill in that gap. Unfortunately, that means a lot of scammer sites are now popping up and trying to benefit from this huge loss in the hookup culture.
Craigshookup is just one of those sites and it is one of the worst. Keep reading to find out why I recommend totally avoiding Craigshookup.
What is Craigshookup?
Craigshookup boasts itself as the classifieds section of the original site, Craigslist.com. In fact, they use a verification process that is almost identical to the CL verification. They are definitely trying to trick you into believing that they are the missing personals ads. Their entire site has been designed to emulate what Craigslist is and at first glance, it’s easy to see why someone who is looking for a quick date might be tricked.
If you do a web search of Craigshookup, you’ll see that the first two results will be Craigshookup and Craigshookup.net. If you click on these two results, you’ll be redirected to something else and not to a hookup. This is a huge sign that Craigshookup is never going to find you a date!
Poking Around Craigshookup
When you’re on Craigshookup, you’ll notice that everything from the terms of usage to the verbiage to the headings and categories look almost identical to Craigslist.
But do not be tricked into thinking this is the same thing! And don’t click on any of the links, including the “Enter free member” section or any of the states listed with member numbers. These are totally useless and made up numbers that are only there to try and convince you to click on your home state. Once you do, you’re just redirected to other dating sites. If you try to use your back button on your browser, you’re just taken to yet another shady-ass dating site.
All the dating sites you are redirected to are related in some way, so it’s pretty much guaranteed that a dating site company is running Craigshookup.
Is Craigshookup.net legit?
The short answer to this question is a definite “no”. This site portrays itself as a blog but in reality, it is the same thing as Craigshookup. If you click on any of their links, you will be greeted by a big boobed blonde that is trying to get you to join a dating network just full of fakes.
If you are at all technologically inclined, by looking at their domain information, you’ll be able to see just how shady they are.
Conclusion: Avoid This Scheme At All Costs
This one is totally a no-brainer. Craigshookup and Craigshookup.net are one in the same and just a front for a dating network company. It is a guarantee that you won’t find one hookup and instead will waste your time clicking on link after link and being redirected to even worse sites. If I were you, I would just totally avoid these two sites and accept that CL personals are gone and your search for some easy tail will have to be through more legitimate adult dating sites.
