Regional cupid sites are all over the place in the internet dating world. They claim they’re not a “buy-a-bride” sites, but I question what their purpose is as it doesn’t really open up many dating prospects unless you are from the country they are promoting.

I’ve been checking out all these “cupid” style dating sites and this is just one of them. Before you start trying to connect with some Filipino, I want you to read the review that I’ve provided below.
Why is Filipinocupid Shady?
It’s pretty obvious where the supposed members of Filipinocupid come from. In fact, the parent company of this site has dozens of other Cupid sites, including Indiancupid, Russiancupid, and Muslimcupid. All of these sites are almost completely identical, just varying in the pictures that are used.
The profiles are not in any way verified or guaranteed to be legitimate. Filipinocupid and the other sites are run by third-party contractors, with staff-made profiles. These people will do what it takes to get you to upgrade your membership, including flirt, talk dirty, show you pictures, and engage you in ways that make you think this person is real.
You will get many messages in your inbox, but just know, the majority of them are junk and the rest are the contractors. The site even warns you to be careful with who you interact with when using Filipinocupid. That doesn’t give me much confidence in what their members are like!
Promotional Emails
Filipinocupid reserves the right to send you communications on just about whatever topic they see fit. This can be anything from their terms of use updates to products and services from third-party companies and affiliate businesses. They really do blow up your inbox with this garbage.
The staff profiles will also flood your inbox, making you believe that there are a plethora of sexy Filipino women interested in meeting you. Don’t get excited, though. It will be easy to see when you’re being contacted by one of these fakes, as the communications don’t seem quite right, or they ask if you want to upgrade your membership to talk to them.
And if you want to respond to any of your messages, you will have to pay. Registration is free, but to communicate with anyone costs you a bit of money.
Membership Fees
If you are still considering joining Filipinocupid, you’ll probably want to know the fees to be a member. As I mentioned, it is free to join. And when you pay nothing, you pretty much get nothing.
Although paying the upgraded membership fees really get you nothing either, but just in case you don’t believe me, here are the fees:

- 3-month basic membership: $49.99
- 6-month basic membership: $74.98
- 1-year basic membership: $99.98
Final Thoughts
With so many “Cupid” sites out there, (take this for example), I really don’t have much faith in them. I have seen their kind before and each of the sites has been a real rip-off for anyone that joins them. Filipinocupid is really no different. From the bombardment of promotional emails to the fake profiles, I would highly recommend you continue your search for a Filipino beauty on another, more reputable site. And if you don’t trust me, I hope that you do find that Filipino princess among the fakes on Filipinocupid and your dreams come true!
